Planning assumptions
Panels = ceiling(MW DC × 1,000,000 ÷ watts), or your known quantity. Pallets = ceiling(panels ÷ panels per pallet). Floor positions use the better of two uniform pallet orientations. Capacity is the lowest of dimensional, payload, and entered pallet limits. Loads = ceiling(pallets ÷ capacity).
Uniform pallet orientations provide a conservative floor plan, not an optimised mixed-orientation loading diagram. Confirm axle distribution, securement, door clearance, equipment type, and manufacturer stacking approval with the carrier. Partial pallets use full packaged dimensions and gross weight.
Worked example
10 MW DC at 550 W requires 18,182 panels. At 36 panels per pallet, that is 506 pallets. The example 88 × 44-inch pallets fit 14 floor positions in the entered trailer at one tier, giving 37 loads. A separately confirmed capacity of 26 pallets would give 20 loads.
