Planning assumptions
Floor positions = ceiling(pallets ÷ approved tiers). Net footprint = positions × packaged length × width ÷ 144. Gross planning area = net footprint × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). Allowance is an addition to net area, not a percentage of gross area.
Confirm stack approval, floor loading, fire clearances, aisle geometry, and handling access with the warehouse. This area estimate does not guarantee a warehouse fit.
Worked example
506 pallets stacked one high at 88 × 44 inches occupy 13,606 ft² net. Adding 35% for aisles and working space gives approximately 18,368 ft².
